October 30, 2017

CEMEX USA announced Tuesday that the CEMEX Foundation donated $84,000 to the New Braunfels Food Bank in southwest Texas to help the organization feed the hungry and those with food insecurity in the community.

CEMEX Foundation representatives presented New Braunfels Food Bank officials with the donation check at the food bank’s Locally Grown event, a farm-to-table dinner and silent auction held to benefit the non-profit organization.

“CEMEX has been a fixture in the New Braunfels community for decades with our Balcones Cement Plant and quarry,” said CEMEX USA Regional President – Texas Region Joel Galassini. “CEMEX cares about our communities, and this donation will help the food bank provide assistance to our neighbors who need it most.”

A team of CEMEX employees from the Balcones Cement Plant, Balcones Quarry and Texas cement sales attended the event to present the money on behalf of the CEMEX Foundation. The CEMEX Foundation provides charitable and community support.
