Our Balcones quarry partnered with the Edwards Aquifer Conservancy (EAC), an organization that supports and benefits the Edwards Aquifer to fund the CEMEX Educator Excursion Series, a series of hands-on educator workshops that promotes protection and conservation of the Edwards Aquifer and its surrounding habitat located in Bexar and Comal Counties.
Our Florida Sand Division was recently honored by the Haines City – Polk County Regional Chamber of Commerce for their ongoing efforts in community service.
Our quarry in Brooksville, Florida formed an educational program onsite in 1993 and has since dedicated nearly 4,000 acres to wildlife and now an Environmental Educational Center. This Center serves as a learning laboratory for area students to study environmental science.
Our Knoxville facility recently gathered over 900 pairs of shoes for a drive benefitting Soles for Souls, a charitable organization that provides shoes to the underprivileged.
