FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.— The Fort Lauderdale skyline will soon have a new crown jewel in the 100 Las Olas tower, a high-rise residential and commercial space in the heart of downtown.
Once completed, the 46-floor structure—including 238 guest rooms, 121 luxury condos and fine dining/retail space—will be the tallest building in Fort Lauderdale, towering nearly 500 feet above the beautiful coastline.
CEMEX is supplying subcontractor Baker Concrete with more than 40,000 cubic yards of custom concrete for the project, which is expected to be completed in late 2018.
“100 Las Olas will be the first new condo building in downtown Ft. Lauderdale in more than a decade, providing new homes and business spaces in a very sought-after part of town,” said Raul Ramirez, Baker Concrete project manager. “We’re proud to help make this exciting development a reality for this city.”
“The concrete mixes we created for this project used both CEMEX aggregates and cement, so this is really a team effort across our Florida operations,” said Kirk Light, president of CEMEX USA’s Florida Region. “We are committed to providing superior experiences for our valued customers like Baker Concrete, who use our products to help build a better future in South Florida.”
