CEMEX is pleased to announce that two San Francisco construction projects, for which CEMEX supplied ready-mix concrete, received recognition at the American Concrete Institute’s (ACI) 2013 Construction Awards in the Northern California and Western Nevada chapter. CEMEX partnered with Webcor Concrete and other construction companies to achieve recognition in the categories of Green/Environmental and Construction for two residential developments.
“CEMEX is honored to be recognized as part of this project team for a job well done,” said Steve Wise, Regional President, California & Pacific Northwest. “These projects had specific aims reflecting each of the project’s complexities, demonstrating our readiness and capability for responding to customer needs.”
The Green/Environmental Award recognizes a focus on sustainability for the mixed-use residential development at 2001 Market Street, which was designed with the aim of attaining LEED Gold Status. The 9-story apartment complex at 333 Harrison Street earned the Construction Award for innovative approaches to construction and use of concrete and other materials.
“All parties involved on these projects were key to earning this recognition from this well-known industry association,” said Chris Plue, Senior Vice President of Webcor Builders. “We are grateful to every contributing team member for helping us achieve this award, and look forward to future success through relationships with all of our partners.
