CEMEX USA fuels projects for Houston’s Memorial City

  • More than 200,000 CY of CEMEX ready-mix concrete used for area projects in last five years
  • CEMEX materials support roughly half a dozen recently-built structures in Memorial City

CEMEX USA is continuing its contributions to the growth of Memorial City, west of Houston, supplying several construction projects in the bustling area for developer, MetroNational, to help provide hundreds of thousands of square feet of residential, office and hospitality space.

CEMEX recently wrapped up its involvement in The McAdams, an eight-story, luxury mid-rise apartment complex, located near the heart of Memorial City. CEMEX has supplied nearly 25,000 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete for the project that boasts more than 300 residential units and amenities including a rooftop, resort-style pool, a private rooftop pet park, a state-of-the-art fitness center and posh resident lounge.

Over the past year, CEMEX finished supplying another luxury building for MetroNational, providing 22,000 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete for The McCarthy, a luxury high-rise apartment complex that is part of a 15-story building. The McCarthy’s eight stories sit atop the Hotel ZaZa Memorial City, a 159-room boutique hotel. The entire building, which provides breathtaking views of Memorial City, was just completed in 2018.

CEMEX has repeatedly been called on by MetroNational to support its projects in Memorial City, including the LEED Platinum MetroNational Headquarters Treehouse Building, 10100 Katy Freeway, a LEED Gold building that houses CEMEX USA Headquarters, and Air Liquide Center. Within the last five years, CEMEX has provided more than 200,000 cubic yards of ready-mix concrete for MetroNational projects.
