CEMEX USA was recognized this month by the Houston Business Journal as one of the Healthiest Employers in the Houston area, ranking fifth among extra-large companies in the region.
CEMEX representatives received the recognition at HBJ’s awards breakfast in Houston on May 17. The Houston Business Journal named 31 companies to its Healthiest Employers List, dividing them into categories related to size. CEMEX USA was among the companies recognized in the extra-large category that featured businesses with more than 5,000 employees.
Companies were scored on their culture and leadership commitments, foundational components, strategic planning, as well as communications and marketing surrounding their healthcare initiatives. They were also scored on their programming and interventions along with reporting and analytics.
“At CEMEX, nothing is more important than keeping our employees healthy and safe, and it is at the source of everything we do,” said CEMEX USA President Ignacio Madridejos. “We are proud to be recognized among some of the leaders in Houston for our commitment to healthy practices, offering a wide variety of health and wellness programs that are beneficial for our people and their families.”
