Jim Mack selected for 2015 Gleason Leadership Award

Jim Mack, Director, Market Development, was among three winners of the John P. Gleason, Jr., Leadership Awards chosen by the Portland Cement Association for 2015.

The awards honor employees of member companies who have raised the bar on leadership and have demonstrated a strong commitment to both the association and our industry. Mack was recognized for his achievements and contributions in the Market Development category.

The association lauded Mack as “a critical component in PCA paving advocacy efforts” and also praised his research and analysis efforts as being “integral to past and ongoing life-cycle assessment and life-cycle cost analysis research.” It also mentions his work in presenting technical and financial reports to the White House Office of Management and Budget, the Federal Highway Administration, state departments of transportation and the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

The award is named after John P. “Jay” Gleason, Jr., who served as PCA president from 1986 until his retirement in 2007. The winners were selected from among 18 finalists, which also included CEMEX employees Hamid Farzam, in the Business Continuity category, and Sara Engdahl, a finalist in the Young Leaders category.
