Bell Terminal Fact Sheet - CEMEX USA

Bell Terminal

Bell Rail Aggregate Distribution Terminal

In cooperation with the City of Bell, CEMEX is helping communities in Southern California meet the needs of the area’s growing population. The Bell Aggregate Distribution Terminal will supply construction projects in the region with CEMEX’s aggregate materials. The Bell Terminal is located in an industrial zone, replacing a former industrial operation. CEMEX designed the distribution terminal with the highest safety and environmental protections when it took over the site.

Key points to note:

  • All conveyor belts will be covered. Water sprays will be used at key points, and specialized equipment will be used in the loading process
  • Existing and active rail lines will be used to deliver aggregates to the terminal
  • Landscaping will be installed and maintained at the Rickenbacker entrance to the site, as well as along the boundary of the 710 freeway
  • The CEMEX distribution terminal will provide a significant and reliable revenue stream every year for the City of Bell which can be used to benefit the entire community, including public safety efforts

Operations Overview

Following is an overview of the activities taking place at the Bell Terminal, in strict adherence to all local and state regulations:

  • Aggregates are produced, screened, rinsed and soaked at the CEMEX Victorville Quarry
  • Prepared aggregates are transported via existing rail lines from Victorville to the Bell Distribution Terminal
  • Specialized unloading equipment receives the prepared aggregates at the Bell Terminal
  • Prepared aggregates are contained within a storage building until needed for distribution

CEMEX in the Community

CEMEX is distinguished as a good neighbor in the communities where we live and operate.
